    Thankfulness

I can't believe it has been almost a month since I last posted.  Bad!

A few Things causing current Thankfulness

    1. Facebook . . . got to chat with a former student today who I haven't had contact with in almost 20 years.  Wow.  It's good to be in touch again.

    2. Skype . . . relatively free phone calls to friends in Malaysia and Spain last week.

    3. My family . . . they're just good stuff.

    4. Friends to brighten up the middle of a muck filled day.

    5. Warmer weather . . . sunshine and changing out my clothes feels like getting a new wardrobe!

    6. Tylenol PM . . . after a day of mostly muck and a brain that won't shut off even when I'm emotionally exhausted, it's good to know that blue Tylenol can shut me down and let me rest.

    7. The promise of seeing people again . . . the one time I'm glad I know my schedule at least a year in advance is that it lets me know that I'll see people I love with some certainty.

    8. A mani/pedi . . . even if I do it myself, it's nice to have spiffed up fingers and toes.

    9. A car that keeps going and going and going.

    10. A cleaned and mostly organized basement . . . my Africa quilt is even hanging on the wall, new organizational stuff for my scrapbooking and rearranged furniture. Now for the rest of the house!

    Something sweet.

Okay, first off, isn't Slumdog Millionaire one of the best books/movies you've came across in a while? I thought/think it was/is.

And your thankfulness list made me smile. Thanks for sharing this.

I'm thankful for someone like you in my life, Miss Creme de la Creme.

Congratulations on the basement! That's such a good feeling. I have plans of organizing too...

You always seem to find a way to make me smile :) You are a highlight of any day that includes you. I loved your list! I am also awful fond of you :)

re my post :  I have since gotten a little more of your "2 cents" perspective...  It helped to be together with alongside friends in Scotland last week and be SO encouraged and know we're not all alone and that we're prayed for.  I guess I sometimes buckle under all the questions : "So Cheryl, what are you doing?"  and I don't know what to answer.  I am coming to the conclusion that I mostly just need more of Jesus.  And I need humility.  in large doses...

re this summer:  I knew it might be really tight to get to see you, but it looks like our best chance might be that last week the kids and I are still there after James leaves on July 21st.  We could just spend a day together or something, if an overnight is too much, what with your other guests coming...  I'll know a little more once we get things squared away with james' family, whom we are VERY behind in communicating with.Whew. That was a long comment!Love Soul
